Project Description

Bridges
Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. When you have a tooth or teeth missing, it often results in bite or joint problems as your teeth shift. By replacing missing teeth, your ability to chew food will improve. Patients often elect a permanent bridge to avoid the hassle of removable dentures. At Glow Comprehensive Dentistry, we offer dental bridges in Castle Rock, among our many dental care choices.
Where there is a missing tooth, bridges are usually attached to the two teeth on each side of the space. In the middle, an artificial tooth is attached to the bridge and fills in the missing tooth. The dentist will prepare the two teeth on the sides of the gap to receive crowns. A mold of the prepared area is then made to create your bridge. Once the bridge is ready, it is cemented to the prepared surface, which creates your “new” tooth/teeth.
Bridges are nice because they are not removed but stable and operate much like your natural teeth. They prevent teeth shifting and provide better ability to chew normally, which also helps to avoid problems with your joints.
